Fishery

We work with a fishery to meet the Fair Trade criteria to become certified. Both the processor and the fishermen must meet a variety of requirements specified by Fair Trade USA.

Buyer

Prior to the season, we work to find a buyer who commits to predermined product quantity.

Brand

We create a branding and marketing strategy that includes a private label design and marketing materials.

Community

The fishing community receives a Fair Brand premium, in addition to fair market prices, to invest into the community’s needs.

Consumer

The Fair Trade product is marketed to consumers in a compelling way that tells the story of the impacts of the Fair Trade model.

Impact

Fair Trade principles create a lasting impact not only on the certified fishery but also on the local community and the environment, helping preserve the fish resources for future generations while also improving the lives of current ones.
